            Noble college was established as a school in 1843 by Rev. Robert Noble who was sent by Church Missionary society in England for education and evangelistic work. After Massive tidal wave in 1864, the Founder lost his life. Later it was upgraded to the college grade and affiliated to Madras University

The Motto:

                ''That They All May Be One"taken from the Holy Bible represents the Universality. It is a prayer for all the people of the world. Noble College has been the cradle for many great sons of India. They include Dr. B. Pattabhi Sitaramaiah, President of Indian National Congress, Governor of Madhya Pradesh and Founder of Andhra Bank, Sri Mutnuri Krishna Rao, freedom fighter and Editor of Krishna Pathrika, Sri Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Union Home Minister, and Governor of Maharashtra, Sri Koka Subba Rao, former Chief Justice of Supreme Court,Smt. Kamala Satyanadhan,the first woman graduate fromMadras University and the first novelist in Indian Writing in English ; (as a mark of respect towards her, the College Women’s Hostel has been named after her), Sri. Viswanadha Satyanarayana, veteran poet and Gnanpeeth Awardee and host of others who occupied important positions in the State and Central Government were also the alumni of the College.

        When the college was revived in 1966, it was affiliate to Andhra University, Visakhapatanam.  Subsequently it was affiliated to Acharya nagarjuna University.Now it was affiliated to Krishna University.

        Noble College was accredited by NAAC with CGPA of 2.60 on seven point scale at B+ Grade in Second Cycle, which is valid upto October 29, 2022.

This college is a co-educational institution, offering educational opportunities to women on equal terms with men an it encourages their participation in all of its activities as the best means of preparation to meet the challenges of life,
